20 Ton Cable Drum Trailer Manufactured for a Customer in Greece

Allame Makina has successfully completed the production of a new 20-ton Cable Drum Trailer for our customer in Greece. The FHCDT-20 model was manufactured in Türkiye and completed in just 5 weeks. The trailer is now undergoing final preparation before shipment to Greece.

Designed for the transportation and controlled pay-off of large and heavy cable drums, the FHCDT-20 provides a practical solution for demanding cable installation and infrastructure projects.

5 Weeks from Production Start to Completion

Following the confirmation of the order from our Greek customer, our engineering and production teams prepared a dedicated manufacturing schedule for the project.

The complete production process was finalized within 5 weeks.

The manufacturing process included structural frame production, axle and wheel assembly, cable drum support systems, hydraulic and mechanical component installation, braking system integration, support leg installation and final assembly.

After assembly, the trailer was subjected to general mechanical and functional checks before being prepared for shipment.

Our goal throughout the project was to deliver a robust cable drum trailer that can perform reliably under demanding field conditions.

20,000 kg Payload Capacity

The FHCDT-20 is designed with a maximum payload capacity of 20,000 kg.

With an empty weight of approximately 3,500 kg, the trailer reaches a total weight of 23,500 kg when fully loaded.

This high payload capacity makes the FHCDT-20 suitable for transporting large cable drums used in major infrastructure, telecommunications, energy and cable installation projects.

Designed for Cable Drums up to 4 Meters

The FHCDT-20 has been designed to accommodate cable drums with a maximum diameter of 4,000 mm.

Its 2,500 mm clear loading width and 125 mm drum shaft diameter provide the required capacity for handling large and heavy cable drums.

The trailer is designed to make drum loading, positioning and cable pay-off more practical during field operations.

This makes the FHCDT-20 a suitable option for projects involving large quantities of fiber optic cables, telecommunications cables, power cables and other types of infrastructure cables.

Controlled Cable Pay-Off in the Field

A professional Cable Drum Trailer is not only designed to transport a cable drum. It must also provide controlled and stable drum rotation during cable installation.

The FHCDT-20 is designed for a cable pay-off speed of up to 20 meters per minute.

Controlled cable pay-off helps installation teams maintain a steady cable feed during field operations. This can be especially useful on long cable routes where consistent handling and controlled drum movement are important.

Heavy-Duty Frame and Support System

A trailer designed to carry up to 20 tons requires a strong structural frame and carefully engineered load-bearing components.

For this project, the main chassis, axle system, wheels, drum support points and stabilizing components were considered as a complete system.

The trailer is equipped with support systems that help maintain stability during loading and operation.

The four 1100 × 22.5 tires are also an important part of the heavy-duty configuration, providing the necessary support for the trailer during transportation.

Ready for Shipment to Greece

With manufacturing and assembly completed, the FHCDT-20 has reached the final stage before shipment.

The trailer is currently being prepared for transportation to our customer in Greece.
